Letter from Time Out Ministries - Calling as a Bridegroom

The Spirit and the bride say, "Come!" —Revelation 22:17

In this passage of Scripture the people of God begin to understand that
Jesus, the Son of God, who is also the Son of Man, is someone even more
personal and intimate than they ever before understood Him. They see Him as a
heavenly Bridegroom.

From that revelation they also begin to understand their own identity and
eternal destiny for it is from the overflow of that revelation, that they see
themselves in an entirely new light as a cherished, lovesick bride.

This new spiritual identity changes our emotional chemistry. It changes
everything about us. When the Holy Spirit and the church are in unity in a
bridal identity, together we will cry out, "Come! Come Lord Jesus!"

As the Holy Spirit reveals to God's people the attributes and character of
the Bridegroom, lovers will rise up to wholehearted devotion. This revelation
of the Bridegroom God will empower, sustain, shield, and protect the bride
during the difficult times that lie ahead.

*PRAYER *

Father, as the Bridegroom God is revealed in greater measure to my life, I
long more and more for the day when He will come and claim me as His Bride
for all eternity. Thank you that the Holy Spirit is at work revealing the
Bridegroom King to us.
