Encouragement from Rahel Faes

Dear Dave,
Just recently my husband and I moved with our little son from the United States back to Switzerland. We had stayed abroad for more than two years before that so we did not possess anything besides our personal belongings like clothes, toiletries, etc.
We needed a lot of things, like for example a car, or an apartment to simply get started with our life here. Most of it came together before we even moved back. Then there are also all the little things that you need to live daily life. Normally you don't think about this in detail but I tell you... when you suddenly have to think about everything that you need to cook a simple dinner and to eat and then also to clean the dirty dishes, you are amazed at what comes together.
Before we got back here we did not have any of this. However, the Lord and the people around us did not let us down. We could move into our apartment and start a "normal life" with everything we needed from the first day. Everyone around us jumped in and contributed from little things to big things. We even received things that did not even cross our mind that we would need them.
This experience just showed me once again that the Lord is so faithful to provide in every area of our lives. He knows about our needs and desires and He will always fulfill them. He will never let us down but give us everything we need. You might not always receive everything exactly when you see it fit, but the Lord has the perfect timing. He is never a second too soon nor a second too late, but always right on time. You can trust Him!
What do you need and what do you desire right now? Are there things that you have already been desiring for some time and maybe you wondered if they will ever come to pass or you will ever receive them? If so, let me tell you: The Lord will come through for you! If you asked Him for something, He has heard your prayer and He is working on bringing about the answer in your life.
As I pondered on the awesome blessings that the Lord brought about in my life in the last while, I was also reminded of several scriptures in which it speaks about the abundant blessing that the Lord has for us and that He desires to give it to us. Here are some of them:
Then you will see, and flow together, and your heart will fear, and be enlarged; because the abundance of the sea will be converted to you, the forces of the Gentiles will come to you.

Isaiah: 60:5 Then you will see, and flow together, and your heart will fear, and be enlarged; because the abundance of the sea will be converted to you, the forces of the Gentiles will come to you.
Psalms 45:12 And the daughter of Tyre [will be there] with a gift; the rich among the people will entreat your favor.
Deuteronomy 28:2 And all these blessings will come on you, and overtake you, if you will listen attentively to the voice of the LORD [Yahweh] your God. 

What stands out about all of these verses is that the blessings come to us. We don't have to work hard to receive it. It comes to us just like that. All of these verses are promises that the Lord has given us. It is for us to take those promises and to make them our own.
So if you have been experiencing a lot of lack lately and you somehow lost hope that the Lord will provide for you, change your attitude and your expectation. It says in the Word that the abundance of the sea will come to you and that the blessings will overtake you. This promise wasn't only valid for the people of old but it is valid for you right now!
Dave, know that the Lord has not forgotten you but that He has promised you everything. It is for you to reach out in faith and to expect that He will give it to you and you will see that He will do it. You are His beloved child and there is no bigger desire for Him to bless His people and to see them happy!
